Description

Probably the best waterfall on a private land, Mangatiti Falls is very spectacular after a rain or during winter time. Accessible via a private land track with a company of bulls and sheep, by arrangement with the owners Marty and Debbie Hull.

Description

15 meters high, un-officially named Whakapapaiti Waterfall can be found along Round the Mountain Track, Tongariro National Park. There is no official track to the waterfall's base, but you may follow the river bed to reach a perfect view of the waterfall.

Description


One of the tallest and most attractive waterfalls in the Mt Cook National Park, Wakefield Falls can be found near Tasman Lake. The waterfall is extremely tall so can be seen even from Tasman Valley Rd, however you'll be astonished by the waterfall's power if come closer by unofficial 2 hours return track.

Lake Face Creek Falls

Unofficially named, Lake Face Creek Falls is located on the eastern shore of Lake Wakatipu. There is no official track to the waterfall and it's not marked on any local maps. However there is unofficial track leading to the waterfall base which could be easily found, and the top of the waterfall is clearly visible from the road.
